Postgraduate Scholarship in Anatomy & Histology
Open to candidate with a good Hons degree in science to undertake research
studies leading to a PhD in the Cellular Basis of Inflammation in Human
Leukocytes; the project is to investigate proteins associated with the
inflammatory responses of leukocytes in human heart failure; $18,484 pa; 1
year only; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Hungarian Government Scholarship 2004/2005
Open to Australian students for the year 04/05; applicants must be
university or college graduates, must possess a letter of invitation from
the host institution in Hungary and are preferably interested in doing
research in the field of Hungarian studies or engineering or natural
sciences; successful candidates will receive the benefits of free tuition,
accommodation allowance, free emergency and basic health care and monthly
scholarship.

Bursaries for Student Travel Conference Support Awards
Available to support travelling to a national or international conference
relevant to both the student's research program in systematics or taxonomy
and the Aims and Objectives of the ABRS; student must be currently enrolled
in a PhD or Masters degree (incl. research component) in an Australian
institution; must show that a poster or oral paper presentation has been
accepted by the organiser of the conference; up to $1000 for an
international conference, $500 for travel within Australia; applicants must
be citizens or permanent residents of Australia; awards are granted
bi-annually.
