Northcott Postgraduate Scholarship
Open to candidate with medical qualifications to undertake research studies 
leading to a PhD in the area of ageing and cognitive function; $20,000 p.a. 
and may be renewed for up to 3 years with additional funding for a further 
nine months if required; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents 
of Australia.

Land and Water Australia Postgraduate Scholarships
The scholarships are for research which will lead to better management, 
sustainable use and conservation of land, water and vegetation resources in 
Australia; selection criteria include: academic ability of student, 
scientific credibility of the supervisor and institution in the area being 
studied and relevance of the topic to natural resource management; 
application should be prepared and signed by the intended supervisor for a 
specific student; 3 years for PhD and 2 years for Masters @$23,000 p.a. + 
$5,000 for operating expenses.

Australian Antarctic Science Top-up Scholarships
Open to students who hold an APA towards a PhD; the first year of the APA 
must fall within the 2003/2004 financial year; applicants must contact the 
relevant Antarctic Program Leader before submitting an application; $5,162 
maximum per annum for 3 years.
