Postgraduate Scholarship in Advanced Composites Structures, School of 
Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering
Open to a candidate with strong research experience and excellent knowledge 
in manufacturing and characterisation of advanced polymer matrix 
composites; $30,000 pa; 1 year commencing from 1 August 2003; applicants 
must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Lizard Island Doctoral Fellowship
Open to candidates enrolled or about to become enrolled in a PhD program in 
any university. The PhD project must be in a scientific discipline relevant 
to coral reefs and it must make full use of the facilities at Lizard Island 
Research Station; A$6,000 pa for students enrolled at an Australian 
university, A$7,000 pa for those enrolled at an overseas university; up to 
3 years.

King & Amy O'Malley Trust Grants
Open to full time and part time (a minimum of half time) students 
undertaking a postgraduate program deemed eligible by the Managing 
Trustees; grants may be used toward any postgraduate study in Home 
Economics, Domestic Economy or related courses; successful candidates must 
commence their study no earlier than 1 January 2004; $7,500, half for part 
time study; 1 year but scholarship holders may apply annually for awards 
for up to a total of 3 years of full time study; the postgraduate program 
may be at an overseas tertiary institution if the equivalent program is not 
available in Australia

Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grants
Provided to aid worthy art students, artists or sculptors who need further 
training or other assistance during their formative years; for candidates 
in the early stages of their careers and who are working in a 
representational style in the listed mediums; eligible candidates must a) 
have already started or completed training in an established school of art; 
and/or b) demonstrate, through past work & future plans, a commitment to 
making art a lifetime career; CAD$12,500 (total may vary); no deadline and 
applications throughout the year are welcome.
