Postgraduate Scholarship in Physiology
Open to candidates to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in 
Physiology in the Laboratory of Exocrine Physiology and Biophysics in the 
Physiology Department, Sydney University; applicants should have, or expect 
to have by the end of the year, a good honours degree in Physiology, 
Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline; stipend based on 
NHMRC scale, possibility of additional funding for conference travel; up to 
3 years.

Postgraduate Scholarship on Myopia in School Children
Available to a full-time postgraduate student enrolled in Masters of 
Medicine (Ophthalmology) for 2003; applicants should hold an MBBS, and be 
planning to enter Ophthalmology; experience in clinical ophthalmology would 
be an advantage, and must hold a current drivers licence and have access to 
a vehicle;  $26,782 pa for 1 year with a possible extension of a further 1 
year; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Scholarship for Project on Myopia and Other Eye Conditions in 
School-aged Children
Available to a full-time postgraduate student who is enrolled in 2003 in a 
Masters of Applied Science (Orthoptics) by research; applicants should hold 
a Bachelor of Applied Science (Orthoptics) with honours or equivalent; 
experience in vision screening in schools or work in a paediatric 
environment would be an advantage, and must have a current drivers licence 
and have access to a vehicle;  $18,009 pa for 1 year with a possible 
extension of 1 year; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of 
Australia.
