Postgraduate Scholarship in Chemical Engineering  Process Intensification 
of Energy Systems
Open to candidates with a good Honours degree in science or engineering; 
PhD projects is to investigate the development of integrated processing 
systems for the manufacture of fuels and other chemicals in highly compact 
systems; $22,771 pa renewable for up to 3 years.

Australian Brewers Foundation Medical Research Grant Scheme
Open to researchers in non-profit institutions in Australia; research on 
the medical, social and public health aspects of moderate, hazardous or 
harmful alcohol consumption; of special interest will be studies offered 
with respect to the health of Aboriginal populations; usually of 1 year's 
duration; in the range $25,000 - $35,000.

Thesis Completion Scholarship  School of Molecular and Microbial Biosciences
Open to a PhD student conducting research on the alternative applications 
of Australian honey; to assist with the writing up and preparation of the 
PhD thesis;  6 months only; $8,018 p.a.

Honours Scholarship  School of Biological Sciences
Open to Honours students currently enrolled in the School of Biological 
Sciences; must be working in the field of neurobiology; $2,000.

Turkish Language and Culture Scholarship
Open to university or higher education institution graduates who would like 
to attend the Turkish  Language and Culture Summer Courses conducted by the 
Turkish Studies Centre; 2 months commencing 1 July 2002; enrolment fee paid 
and a monthly stipend of 93 million Turkish Lira; accommodation provided 
free of charge depending on availability.

Australia-Israel Scientific Exchange Foundation Postgraduate Fellowship
Offered to support a student enrolled in a postgraduate degree at an 
Australian University; up to 3 - 6 months working in a research laboratory 
in Israel; funds will cover economy return airfares and contribute to 
living and accommodation costs  up to a maximum of $5,000.

Lemmerman Foundation Scholarships
Open to university students who need to study in Rome to carry out research 
and prepare their theses concerning Rome and Roman culture from the 
Pre-Roman period to the present day in the subject areas of Literature, 
History, Archaeology, History of Art; applicants should have a basic 
knowledge of Italian language; EUR750 per month.

Sigma Xi Grants-In-Aid
Small grants for direct costs of scientific research projects for 
postgraduate students; may be applied to the purchase of specific equipment 
necessary to undertake the proposed research project or for travel to and 
from a research site; usually US$100 - $1,000.
