The Centre for Technology and Human Futures (CTHF) warmly invites you to join us for a Symposium with Dom Christopher Jamison OSB about his new work in progress, A Theology of Futures, with responses from Dr Shaun Blanchard and Dr Timothy Smartt.
The conversation will centre on a draft of the first two chapters of Fr Christopher's forthcoming book, providing an opportunity for collegial discussion.
DATE: 20/10/26

TIME: 1 - 2:30 pm, Sydney Time (EADT)

ABSTRACT: The way people frame the future determines the way they behave in the present. This symposium will consider the attached paper, a draft of the first two chapters of a book about how people framed the future in the past and how they are doing so today. If there is a lack of self-awareness about framing the future, unexamined assumptions can lead to bad choices in the present and unintended consequences in the future. This symposium will test the concept 'framing the future' and will consider seven models of future framing.
