[SydPhil] UNDA Symposium on the History of Philosophy

[Catherine Wesselinoff]

The University of Notre Dame Australia's Centre for the History of Philosophy (CHOP) and School of Philosophy and Theology (P&T) warmly invites you to a Symposium on the History of Philosophy.

What does it mean to study the history of philosophy — and why does it matter for philosophy today?

This November, P&T and CHOP are bringing together philosophy scholars from our Fremantle and Sydney campuses for a two-day symposium exploring different approaches to the history of philosophy, from the ancient and medieval worlds through to modern and contemporary thought.

Each session will feature a 50-minute paper, a student response, and 30 minutes of discussion. The Symposium is open to students from all universities, colleagues, and members of the public - and no prior knowledge is required.

📍Fremantle Campus — 12 November, 9 am–4 pm
Speakers: Catherine Wesselinoff, Rajat Denzil Acharya, Richard Hamilton and Heath Williams

📍Sydney Campus — 19 November, 9 am–4 pm
Speakers: Angus Brook, Samuel Kaldas, Rajat Denzil Acharya and Russell Gore

Attendance is free, but registration is essential:
