The Institute for Ethics & Society and the Centre for Technology & Human Futures at The University of Notre Dame Australia is pleased to host a talk from Dr Ben Bramble (ANU) on Wednesday 22 July, 4:00pm-5:30pm (Sydney time).

The talk will be held in person on UNDA’s Sydney campus, but remote participation is also available. All welcome.

Title: Virtue Ethics & Space

Abstract: In this talk, Ben will explain why virtue ethics has an extremely important role to play in emerging literature on space ethics. What should we feel about or toward the Moon? How should we feel about space tourism? What about greening or domesticating the solar system or space more broadly? These questions turn out to be central to what, if anything, we should be doing in space. Ben will also explain why these reflections themselves give us evidence of the truth of virtue ethics itself.
