Nick Trakakis (ACU, Philosophy)

“Philosophy and the Neoliberal University”

The paper begins with the identification of a problem: the shift towards neoliberal policies in higher education. A possible response is then sketched: the development of what might be called ‘Slow Philosophy’, inspired by the global Slow Movement, and with precedents in the work of Nietzsche, Wittgenstein and Heidegger.
