Thursday May 2  Peter Bowden, Ethics for a Dinner Party 

 

Peter Bowden will talk about a book he has just edited in which 20
contributors identified the ethical issues across 14 different disciplines.
The talk will provide a sample of the more interesting dilemmas, enough for
a discussion over a dozen dinner parties. A more serious second part
discusses ways in which we can use this knowledge to build a more ethical
society.

Peter is one of the convenors of Philo Agora, Secretary to the AAPAE, and an
Honorary in the Department of Philosophy at Sydney.   

 

The upstairs café, Berkelouw Books 70 Norton St  Leichhardt,

 

Starts at  7.15 instead of 7.30, Finishes at  8.45   instead of 9.00pm. We
will have to be out by 9, 00 pm as Berkelouws closes then

 

The café is not yet open for business, so no coffees available  $5.00 charge
