Please note that Rachael Briggs' talk on Wednesday, March 13th "Misinformed Desires" (abstract below) will NOT be held in the Refectory in the Main Quadrangle at the University of Sydney. It will, rather, be held in S401, Level 4, via Lobby B (or Southern Vestibule), Quadrangle Building, University Place, The University of Sydney. It will be on at the usual time (3.30pm).

Abstract

Misinformed desires pose a prima facie challenge to desire-satisfaction theories of wellbeing. I distinguish several types of misinformed desires, and argue that desire-satisfaction theorists should respond by claiming that only the satisfaction of intrinsic desires matters to wellbeing.
