Dear friends and colleagues,

The 2017 Australasian University Geoscience Educators Network (AUGEN) conference will be held at the School of Geosciences, University of Sydney, on 5-6 August 2017 (Saturday and Sunday). Registration is free, and we encourage as many of you to attend and support this event. The conference will be a great opportunity to discuss new approaches in geoscience education across all levels (including primary/high school, TAFE, university, etc.). The sponsors have been very generous in supporting this free event, so we hope to have a large number of attendees.

The abstract deadline has been extended to 14 July (next Friday), and registration closes on 21 July. I attach the third circular, as well as the abstract template. Abstracts are to be e-mailed to Kelsie Dadd (kelsie.dadd at sydney.edu.au<mailto:kelsie.dadd at sydney.edu.au>) as Word documents, and you can register through this Eventbrite link<https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/2017-augen-conference-tickets-29916807978>.

I will post updates and the latest information on the official AUGEN2017 page: https://www.earthbyte.org/augen-2017/

I’ve tried to contact at least one person from each university with a geosciences school, so I would really appreciate it if you could forward this update onto your friends and colleagues. We look forward to seeing many (and hopefully ALL) of you in early August! Apologies for cross-posting.

Regards,
Sabin Zahirovic
