2 Year Post-Doctoral Position in Geodynamics at Cardiff University.


A Natural Environment Research Council funded post-doctoral research position is available to study mantle geodynamics in the research group of Professor J Huw Davies at Cardiff University. This project will investigate numerically the deep Earth water cycle. Co-investigators include Dr. Don Porcelli (University of Oxford) and Professor Tim Elliott (University of Bristol). This is part of the "Mantle volatiles: processes, reservoirs and fluxes" Consortium of the 5 year Research Programme "Volatiles, Geodynamics and Solid Earth Controls on the Habitable Planet"  www.deepvolatiles.org<http://www.deepvolatiles.org/>

This is a full time position and is fixed-term for 24 months. The post is available for immediate start.

Salary: £31,656 - £37,768 per annum (Grade 6).
