[Geodynamics] Seismix 2016 - Scotland

Dear All

JUST TWO DAYS until the end of Early Bird Registration (23.59 UK time on
February 3rd) for Seismix 2016. After this deadline, the cost of
registration reverts to the standard rate, which is approximately 15%
higher. Seismix in an international conference that brings together the
active and passive source imaging communities. Please see the website
for list of themes and invited speakers.

Please note that:

(1) Although the preferred registration method is by credit/debit card
on the University of Aberdeen on-line store, it is also possible to pay
by electronic funds transfer/bank transfer. Instructions for doing so
are contained in the above web link.

(2) The post-conference fieldtrip is limited to 30 delegates on a
first-come first-serve basis, so register sooner rather than later to
avoid disappointment.

A conference bus will provide transport between Aberdeen and the
conference venue. It will depart the University of Aberdeen on Sunday
May 15th at 12.30pm, pick up delegates from Aberdeen airport (ABZ), then
depart for Aviemore at 1.30 pm. Approximate arrival time in Aviemore is
4.00pm (Icebreaker starts at 5.00pm). At the conclusion of the
conference, the bus will depart Aviemore at 2.00pm on Friday May 20th
(arrival time at ABZ  and the University of Aberdeen will be
approximately 4.30pm and 5.30pm respectively). If you wish to use this
service, you MUST tick the appropriate box in the on-line registration
form. Note that other transport options exist (see the above website).

(4) A small number of EGU travel awards are available for PhD and Early
Career Researchers. APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 23.59 UK TIME ON
FRIDAY JANUARY 29th, and applicants MUST have registered by this date in

(5) The Abstract deadline is March 1. The Program Committee will begin
reviewing abstracts shortly after this date, and any abstracts submitted
by a presenting author who has not yet registered for the conference may
be rejected.
