[ASA] PhD Opportunities in Astrophysics at the University of Newcastle

Are you interested in pursuing a PhD in solar, stellar, or exoplanetary physics? Or do you know any students who may be?

We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated students who are interested in applying for a PhD scholarship. Our research spans observations and modelling of: solar magnetic fields, solar and stellar activity, helio- and asteroseismology, space weather, exoplanets and their atmospheres, and evolved stars and their local environments.

We welcome enquiries from students with backgrounds in physics, astronomy, applied mathematics, computational science, or related disciplines. At UoN, Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship applications are expected to open to domestic applicants in October and close by the end of November, so we encourage you to get in touch with us by mid-November at the latest.
