Dear ASA,

Please find attached a summary report of the "Shaping the AAT in the 2030-2040 Era” workshop that we had at Macquarie University on 23-24 July. This is for public distribution.

The AAT2030+ workshop showed a community bursting with ideas for the telescope's next decade — a consensus that its future is agile time-domain follow-up of Rubin and the SKA science and general queue-driven science, taking advantage of it’s unique southern longitude and high availability of nights to our community. This can happen alongside growing commercial use, all deliverable for little more than the current operations budget.

Best

Karl
