Further to the reminder sent last week that the deadline for EoIs for the next semester of the ADACS MAP is Friday April 27 (see details below) I am pleased to announce a new opportunity now available through this program:
Dedicated time will be made available for Data Central-related development. This could include things like feature requests for the Data Central platform or apps that rely on data held in Data Central. We are open to new innovative ideas to improve Data Central.
The previous deadline reminder is as follows:
The deadline for Expressions of Interest for the 2026B semester of the ADACS Merit Allocation Program (MAP) is Friday April 24, 2026; four weeks from today.
Wondering what the ADACS MAP is? It is an opportunity to accelerate or extend the capabilities of your research program, offering all members of the Australian astronomy community (including students and postdocs) access to the following:
1. Bespoke training in skills related to software development, &/or
2. Dedicated software advice, development or design effort from skilled software engineers.
If interested, please lodge your interest as soon as possible. Early submissions generally benefit from a more robust consultation phase.
Submitting your EoI is easy via our EoI submission portal at: https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/QxqCCWLVXkUPyqYjDs6fNSoQRX_?domain=adacs.org.au.
Still have questions? Please consult the Application Guidelines for the ADACS Merit Allocation Program<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/5DqACXLW2mUqMKNnOFVhYSWC5iX?domain=adacs.org.au> or email queries to Greg Poole at gpoole at swin.edu.au.
ADACS is a collaboration between Swinburne University of Technology and Curtin University. It is funded under the Astronomy National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Program via Astronomy Australia Ltd (AAL).
