Dear ASA members,

Several members have responded with interest to the Schmidt announcement.

A common question has been in regard to the tenure pre-condition. The Schmidt Foundation have replied that an assurance from the host institution that you have 5 years tenure contingent on securing the fellowship is acceptable.

For any other questions that come up, potential applicants are encouraged to sign up for Schmidt Foundation office hours so the can address any queries or concerns.
Given this is a new Fellowship, the Foundation fully understands there will be plenty of those!
