[ASA] Schmidt Sciences - First Light Awards

Dear ASA members,

AAL is delighted to pass on this significant opportunity for early career researchers.

Schmidt Sciences is a non-profit organisation supported by Eric and Wendy Schmidt dedicated to advancing science and technology for positive global impact. A major project of this organisation is the development of the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Observatory System. The Argus Array, Seep Synoptic Array, Large Fibre Array Spectroscopic Telescope and the Lazuli Space Observatory are all currently in design and early construction phases.

The FirstLight Awards program invites proposals from early-career scientists across the globe to undertake bold research programs with these telescopes. Awardees will be generously supported. Schmidt would like to actively encourage applications from Australian scientists.

The closing date is April 17th (please note the deadline is American Eastern Time).
