Call for Nominations: AAT Time Allocation Committee (ATAC)

 

Dear all,

 

On behalf of the Anglo-Australian Telescope (AAT) Council, Astronomy
Australia Limited (AAL) is seeking nominations to appoint two new members to
ATAC. 

Applications close on Wednesday 26th April 2023, 5 PM AWST.

 

ATAC is the committee that allocates time on the AAT. ATAC meets twice a
year in May and November.

 

We are seeking to appoint two ATAC members with this call, with a
commencement date of July 2023. The term of an ATAC member is generally 3
years but may be staggered to ensure smooth turnover in membership. 

 

For the assessment of research proposals that require use of the AAT, we are
particularly seeking nominations from those with expertise in the
interstellar medium, observational cosmology, active galactic nuclei and
stellar evolution.

your expertise, ideas, and experience, please email

including:

 

1.	A brief CV.
2.	A covering letter describing your expertise relevant to the areas
stated above.
3.	Any relevant conflicts of interest.
