[ASA] Call for nominations to the GAP Steering Committee

Dear colleagues,

The terms of several members of the steering committee of the Group for 
Astroparticle Physics (GAP) are ending this year, including the position 
of the ASA co-chair.

We hereby seek nominations to join the GAP steering committee.  We aim 
to fill

* three (3) regular positions on the steering committee,

* one postgraduate student member from the AIP, and

* the role of the ASA co-chair.

Self-nominations are most welcome.  In order to ensure that the steering 
committee is representative of our community, we particularly welcome 
nominations from groups that are currently under-represented on the 
committee.

We are seeking nominations from both, ASA and AIP, and aim for a balance 
between the two.   Membership in either of these is required and 
sufficient to join the steering committee.  For the position of the ASA 
co-chair, however, ASA membership is required.

GAP is the first overarching chapter of AIP and ASA.  It is currently 
run jointly by two co-chairs, one as “AIP” co-chair (Céline Bœhm) and 
one as “ASA” co-chair - for which we seek a new nomination. The GAP has 
so far been active with dedicated sessions at the AIP Congress 
(Adelaide, Dec. 2022), and in supporting the recent ANITA Workshop and 
School (Adelaide, Feb 2023). Further events/involvements are planned for 
2023.

If the number of nominations (including re-nominations of current 
committee members) exceeds the number of available slots, we will hold 
elections in the second half of March.

Please clearly indicate your nomination as either “postgraduate student 
position”,  “ordinary position”, or as “ASA co-chair”.
