[ASA] Mt Stromlo Student Seminar 2021 Registration

Dear student ASA members,

The Mount Stromlo Student Seminars Organising Committee invites you to register for our conference on November 17th to 19th, 2021:

Organised for students, by students, the Mount Stromlo Student Seminars has been running for over 10 years and welcomes anyone completing undergraduate, honour/master or PhD degrees from an Australian university. This is a virtual conference hosted at the beautiful Mt Stromlo on Ngambri and Ngunnawal country (Canberra).

This year's theme is "arts and crafts" and will be a safe and inclusive space for students to showcase their work through a series of light-hearted talks. We have a range of invited speakers, including the incredible Ken Freeman, who will tell us what it was like to have Paul Dirac as your quantum mechanics lecturer and what Steven Hawking and Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar were like as people. Exploding stars specialist and Sci-Com extraordinaire Heloise Stevance will teach us how to effectively communicate our science. And we will hear from academics from all stages, postdocs to professors, in our professional development in academia panel.
