ESO is organising the 2020/21 La Silla Paranal Users Workshop
<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/WjxxClx1Nji296qKkIGZ7oX?domain=eso.org> as a series of
online events. Part 1 took place on 7-8 September 2020, and covered
"Optimising data exploitation
<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/F_-HCmO5gluj0kLY6IODHrD?domain=eso.org> ",
while Part 2 on 3 March 2021 focused on "Optimising Phase 1 proposal
planning and submission
<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/kwr-Cnx1jni7yrpLxCNu3BW?domain=eso.org> ". Part 3 will
address "Optimising Phase 2 observation preparation". If you are one of the
lucky recipients of ESO time in Period 108, or would like to understand
better how to use the relatively new p2 tool to most effectively plan and
organise your observations then this third instalment of the workshop is for
you!

We invite you to register for this event which will take place online on 20
and 28 July. The first 2 hr session on 20 July will include presentations on
the Phase 2 process, the p2 tool, making finding charts with p2fc, and an
API for p2. On 28 July there will be two separate 1 hr "hands-on" sessions
illustrating the process for MUSE and for HAWK-I. In the week following, ESO
will offer one-on-one sessions for successful P108 users who would like
expert assistance with a specific instrument. You can find out more at the
workshop website <https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/WjxxClx1Nji296qKkIGZ7oX?domain=eso.org> . If
you have any questions please contact lpousers at eso.org
<mailto:lpousers at eso.org> .

Registration is free, and is encouraged by 18 July 2021. However, the link
for the meeting will be available on the website also for non-registered
participants.
