 Dear ASA Members,

I would like to bring the following Postdoctoral Research position to your attention, which may be of particular interest to students who have recently completed their PhD and Early Career Researchers.
This multi-disciplinary project has developed out of research into decision-making processes that was undertaken during Deeper Wider Faster observing campaigns.

About the Job

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now used in many time-critical, data-driven business, industrial, research and training environments to provide decision-making support. Rather than replacing humans, the best outcomes may come from a closer, customised integration between human and artificial decision-makers.

We have a fantastic opportunity for Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join us and contribute to the project: “Artificial Intelligence as the Most Valuable Player: Enabling cyber-human teams to achieve decision superiority”, in which we seek to develop and explore team-based, data-driven decision-making in low-risk and high-risk scenarios.

As the Postdoctoral Research Fellow you will apply your experience in artificial intelligence/machine learning and applied computing to research, develop, prototype, and evaluate adaptive decision-support solutions that combine workflow interaction analytics with human performance data (eye-tracking and biometric sensing). The Research Fellow will prepare dynamic visual dashboards of team performance and develop an integrated AI decision-support solution for managing team performance.

You will join a highly multi-disciplinary team, comprising experts in data visualisation and analysis, skilled learning and performance, decision-making, AI, human computer interaction, human machine interfaces, and user-centred design.

This position is for a fixed term with an expected completion date of 23 May 2023.

Applicants may be required to obtain an Australian Government national security clearance.

Position description and full details on how to apply at https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/dsVpCJyBrGfqL5K2wIV_O78?domain=tinyurl.com or contact Prof Christopher Fluke (cfluke at swin.edu.au<mailto:cfluke at swin.edu.au>)

Please apply via the Swinburne Career portal before 5pm Monday 12 July (Melbourne time).

 Thanks,
Chris
