Dear All,

The Gravitational Wave Data Centre (GWDC) would like to make an open call
for large-scale projects to be supported in FY 21/22.

The GWDC was established in 2019 to provide infrastructure, training, and
support for gravitational-wave researchers nationally, and is funded under
the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Program
via Astronomy Australia Ltd. (AAL). One of the primary GWDC activities is
to maintain and develop a series of large-scale projects -- the current
list of projects can be found on the GWDC website (https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/E7VcCYW8NocynxjmU0bwo9?domain=gwdc.org.au).
With renewed funding in FY 21/22, the GWDC would like to call for
expressions of interest for new large-scale projects to potentially be
supported through this scheme.

Interested parties should submit a one or two paragraph expression of
interest that outlines briefly the science, scope, and maturity of the
proposed project. This EOI phase is designed solely to determine whether
project applications are better suited to this scheme, or to the GWDC/ADACS
Merit Allocation Software Support Programs. Successful EOIs will be
invited to work with GWDC staff to prepare a full application (which will
involve not more than a two-page proposal), outlining the project,
personnel, strategic vision, prospective milestones and KPIs, and an
estimate of the required FTEs (noting that the amount of FTEs allocated to
projects will depend on demand, availability, and assessed scientific
merit).

*Expressions of interest are due* *Friday, March 19*. Please email EOIs to
gwdc-contact at adacs.org.au. Enquiries can be sent to Paul Lasky (
paul.lasky at monash.edu) and/or Jarrod Hurley (jhurley at swin.edu.au).

Best wishes,
Paul Lasky (Chair of GWDC Advisory Panel) and Jarrod Hurley (GWDC Program
Lead).
