Dear All,
We would like to announce an upcoming training session for prospective and current users of the OzSTAR supercomputer at Swinburne.
The session will be conducted via Zoom on Wednesday December 2nd between 12-2pm.
It will be conducted in two parts as follows:
* 12-1pm - general introduction, how to apply for an account, user documentation, how to get started [beginner level];
* 1-2pm - job monitoring and system monitoring tools [beginner and advanced levels].
Each hour will involve a mix of tutorials, demonstrations and time for questions.
The first hour is aimed at those who are thinking that they may require access to the facility in the near future and those who have recently signed up. It will be similar in content to the training session conducted in 2019. Established users of OzSTAR may wish to skip this hour. The second hour should be of interest to all users of the facility.
To register your interest please send an email to <ozstar2020 at adacs.org.au> noting your name and institution.
Details for connecting to the event will be sent to those who have registered prior to the date.
More information on the OzSTAR supercomputer can be found at: supercomputing.swin.edu.au
This event is jointly provided by Astronomy Data and Computing Services (ADACS) and the OzSTAR support team.
ADACS is a collaboration between Swinburne University of Technology and Curtin University. It is funded under the Astronomy National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) Program via Astronomy Australia Ltd (AAL).
Regards,
Jarrod Hurley
