REMINDER: Applications close this Friday 29 May at 9pm AEST for nominations to the IVOA Executive Committee (Australian representative)



Late applications will not be accepted.



Astronomy Australia Limited (AAL) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Australian-based astronomers or data experts to lead the Australian Virtual Observatory engagement with the International Virtual Observatory Alliance<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/9XSKCoV1kpfJ1pL0s1xGBy?domain=ivoa.net> (IVOA).



The IVOA was formed in June 2002 and now comprises 20 Virtual Observatory program member countries, with senior representatives from these countries forming the IVOA Executive Committee. Australia is one of the IVOA foundation member countries and this call for nominations is to replace the outgoing Australian representative to the IVOA Executive Committee.



The new Australian representative will serve a two-year term, with the possibility to renew, with the Committee meeting via video conference (or in person when possible) 3-4 times a year. Please see more information in the attached position description.
