Dear colleagues,

The Maunakea Spectroscopic Explorer (MSE)<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/kqxpCnxyErCWqRznT9Sg53?domain=mse.cfht.hawaii.edu> Project Office is assembling an Education and Public Outreach committee from among the various communities with an interest in this next generation telescope project, in order to coordinate national and international MSE education & public outreach activities.

With this email, we are seeking nominations to the committee from the Australian astronomical community. We aim for at least one Australian representative on this committee. The committee will be responsible for developing the scope of the future MSE Education and Public Outreach program, which will be international in focus as well as tailored to meet the needs of the partners.

The committee members should be people who are well acquainted with education and science communication in general and ideally with astronomy/science facilities specifically. They need not be professional astronomers, but should be familiar with the needs/expectations of the astronomy community. Please feel free to share this request as appropriate.

To nominate yourself or a colleague, please send the nominee's name, contact details, and a one-page CV to andrew.hopkins at mq.edu.au<mailto:andrew.hopkins at mq.edu.au> by Friday 14 December 2018.

If you have any questions about the role, anticipated time commitment or other expectations, please contact andrew.hopkins at mq.edu.au<mailto:andrew.hopkins at mq.edu.au>.
