This is a reminder email that the abstract submission deadline for the Elizabeth and Frederick White conference on gas-solid reactions from the atomic scale to the parsec is tomorrow, Wednesday 1 August. The conference will be held at the Australian National University in Canberra from 5-7 September 2018. This conference covers the role of gas mixtures in distributing chemical elements, modifying materials and transferring heat from the atomic through parsec scales. Advances in understanding gas-solid reactions form a basis for improving removal of greenhouse gases from Earth's atmosphere, enhancing models of volcanic processes, aiding ore deposit exploration, and probing planet-forming regions beyond our solar system.
