The School of Engineering, Computer & Mathematical Sciences at the Auckland
University of Technology seeks a postdoctoral fellow to undertake research
with a team of experts in fast radio transients, synthesis imaging, digital
signal processing, high-performance computing, and machine learning. The
aim of the research project is to advance the state of the art in the
application of modern statistical methods, innovative modeling, and massive
data stream classification to the real-time identification and
localization of Fast Radio Bursts. The team will work closely with two
international collaborations, the Survey for Pulsars and Extragalactic
Radio Bursts (SUPERB) <https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/aYDOBJiKLQaai2?domain=arxiv.org> and the Commensal
Realtime ASKAP Fast Transients (CRAFT) <https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/2mpABDcnKDWWF5?domain=arxiv.org>,
to develop and commission robust FRB detection and transient imaging
systems for the Parkes Observatory and the Australian Square Kilometre
Array Pathfinder (ASKAP). For information on how to apply, please see the
