Hello all,
The Perth Observatory Volunteer Group (POVG) manages the 120 year-old
Perth Observatory under an agreement with the WA Department of
Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions to provide astronomical
education and tourism services to the public. The Perth Observatory is
of state, national and international significance for its history and
heritage and the vision of the POVG is to make it the premier
astronomical education and tourism destination in Australia.
In 2017 the POVG was awarded the WA Community Volunteer Organisation of
the Year for its work in developing the astronomical education and
tourism programs at the Perth Observatory.
We are now seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced
Operations Manager to assist us achieve our vision for the Observatory.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is a self-starter with
good business and communication skills to participate in the further
development of the services offered at this historic institution.
A list of the responsibilities, duties and selection criteria for the
