CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science (CASS) is offering 12 scholarships to undergraduate students to work with us over the 2017-2018 summer. Projects are available in astrophysics, engineering, computing and education with seven based at our headquarters in Marsfield, Sydney and five at Kensington in Perth.

Successful scholars will work on a project under the supervision of one or more of our staff, learn about a range of astrophysics topics and radio astronomy techniques and engineering and have the opportunity to visit one of our observatories.

Participation in the Vacation Scholarship Program has influenced previous scholarship holders in their choice of further study and future career options. Many have gone on to pursue a PhD in CSIRO or to build a successful research career within CSIRO, a university or industry
