Dear Colleagues,

As you will have seen, UNSW is offering its lucrative Scientia PhD Scholarships in 2018.

These feature a AU$40K a year stipend for four years, plus coverage of
all tuition fees, as well as a further AU$10k each year to build your
career and support your international research collaborations, plus
coaching and mentoring as part of a highly personalised leadership
development plan.

Two Scientia Scholarships are available for PhD students to
work on an interdisciplinary astrochemistry project with Laura McKemmish (Chemistry) and Maria Cunningham (astrophysics). The project would be ideal for someone who enjoys both chemistry and physics / astronomy.

We would like to encourage interested undergraduates to apply, and hope
you will distribute this opportunity to any likely candidates at your
institutions. FAQs, scheme guidelines and applications links for the
Scientia Scholarships can be found at http://www.2025.unsw.edu.au/apply

Relevant deadlines are:

(1) Submit an Expression of Interest by July 21, 2017 on the Scientia
web portal above.
(2) Up to two candidates will then be selected by August 4 and asked to
submit a full application by September 1.

Potential applicants can seek further information from Laura McKemmish (laura.mckemmish at gmail.com<mailto:laura.mckemmish at gmail.com>) or
Maria Cunningham (maria.cunningham at unsw.edu.au<mailto:maria.cunningham at unsw.edu.au>).
