Dear all,

This is the second announcement for the CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science Radio School 2017

Registration for the school is now open here: https://events.csiro.au/Events/2017/June/16/CASS-Radio-Astronomy-School-2017

CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science is holding its 2017 Radio Astronomy School at the Australia Telescope Compact Array, NSW, Australia from the 25th to the 29th of September. This school aims to provide knowledge and hands-on experience of radio astronomy to people new to the field, including PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.

The format of the school will be similar to previous CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science radio schools, with a mix of lectures and practical sessions. Material will be presented by both radio astronomers and engineers. No prior experience with radio astronomy is required. The school will cover a diverse range of topics across all areas of radio-astronomy, with a focus on interferometric observations.

Registration is now open. Attendance will be limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee is $260 for students (and $320 for non-students) and will cover lunches, teas/coffees and one or two evening meals. Participants are strongly encouraged to present posters highlighting their research.

For more information, please see the school webpage: http://www.atnf.csiro.au/research/radio-school/2017/index.html

Best wishes,
Helga Denes on behalf of the organising committee
