[ASA] 2017 ANITA theory workshop and Astroinformatics school

The 11th annual ANITA theory workshop will be held on 9th-10th February 2017 at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Tasmania.

It will be preceded by the Astroinformatics school on 6th-8th February 2017, also at UTas.

The ANITA workshop covers all topics of theoretical and computational astrophysics and is open to all.

The Astroinformatics school will cover:

- A whole day of Python! Including introduction, numpy, scipy, plotting and interactive python notebooks
- Introduction to sql databases and mysql
- Usage of git, github and source control
- Introduction to cloud computing, deep learning, high performance computing using MPI and GPUs
- Visualisation techniques
