[ASA] ATNF Community meeting at ASA2015

Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF) Community Meeting: Wednesday 8 July 2015, 5:30pm – 6:30pm, main lecture hall, Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle.

CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science invites the astronomical community to a Town Hall-style discussion on the Australia Telescope National Facility (ATNF).

The meeting will be held at 5:30 – 6:30 pm on Wednesday 8 July 2015, in the main lecture hall of the Esplanade Hotel. The session will include a short presentation, Q&A, and feedback forum. Topics will include ASKAP status and early science preparation, Australia’s SKA planning, Parkes instrumentation, and ATCA science strategy.

The ATNF currently consists of the Parkes Telescope, Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA), and access to the Mopra Telescope and NASA's Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (Tidbinbilla) telescopes. The Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP), currently being commissioned in Western Australia, will also be part of the ATNF.

There will be light refreshments served before the meeting, from 5pm.
