This is a repeat of an earlier email sent only as a test - again

Dear colleagues,

Magnetic fields play a pivotal role in regulating the structure and evolution of the Universe over a wide range of scales. In the last decade much progress had been made developing new analysis methods and theoretical models of magnetism in the ISM and IGM. A host of new projects, including GALFACTS, GMIMS, S-PASS, MWA and POSSUM, will soon furnish all-sky measurements of Faraday rotation and radio polarisation.

In the lead up to these exciting new datasets we invite you to join us for a one-day workshop on magnetic fields to be held on the 7th of May 2012 at the ATNF headquarters in Sydney, Australia. The meeting will be based around short oral contributions (15 min) with ample time for questions.

Please respond by email to cormac.purcell at sydney.edu.au if you are interested in attending, along with a proposed title. The deadline for registration is Monday 23rd of April.

More information is available on the meeting website:

Please distribute this announcement to any other interested parties. A poster advertising the meeting is also attached.

Best regards,

Cormac Purcell on behalf of
Xiaohui Sun
Shane O'Sullivan
Bryan Gaensler
and the POSSUM team.
