Dear Willian Greene
Thank you very much; I can run the modelwith my full dataset (876 individuals and three options). But I have a problemI can only run the model with two classes; if I try to use 3 or 4, I get anerror message: Error 1027: Models - variance matrix of estimates is singular.
My question is, is it possible that mydata is inappropriate for the model, or am I specifying the model wrong?

I used the following syntax for therandom latent class, please can you check my model please, thank you:

LCRPLOGIT

;LHS=CHOICE

;CHOICES= A,B,C

;RH2=ONE

;RHS=LAND75,LAND25,LAND10,INTENS,SILVO,EXTENS,WP,JAG0,JAG2,JAG9

;RPL

;DRAWS=50

;FCN=LAND75(t),LAND25(t),LAND10(t),INTENS(t),SILVO(t),EXTENS(t),WP(t),JAG0(t),JAG2(t),JAG9(t)

;HALTON

;PDS=6

;PTS=2

;maxit=100; tlg=.0001

;lcm

U(A)= LAND75*LAND75 + LAND25*LAND25 +LAND10*LAND10 +INTENS*INSTENS + SILVO*SILVO + EXTENS*EXTENS +WP*WP +JAG0*JAG0+JAG2*JAG2+JAG9*JAG9/

U(B)= LAND75*LAND75 + LAND25*LAND25 +LAND10*LAND10 +INTENS*INSTENS + SILVO*SILVO + EXTENS*EXTENS +WP*WP +JAG0*JAG0+JAG2*JAG2+JAG9*JAG9/

U(C)= LAND75*LAND75 + LAND25*LAND25 +LAND10*LAND10 +INTENS*INSTENS + SILVO*SILVO + EXTENS*EXTENS +WP*WP +JAG0*JAG0+JAG2*JAG2+JAG9*JAG9$

Thank you

Dear Elias Jose' Gordillo Cha'vez:The student version of nlogit6 allows 1500 individuals with 4 choices, or 6,000 lines of data.It should be able to handle your data set.  You can read in all 6,000 lines of data (2,628 in your case).  For the nlogit program, you have only 876 individuals and 3 choices.  When youare fitting the model, if you are specifying a choice experiment, you will have 146 individualsand ;PDS=6.I'm sorry I can't advise about the model. If nothing is "significant," the model may bemisspecified or inappropriate for the data.Sincerely,B. Greene

Hello everyone, I have a question

I´m trying to do a random latent class model in Nlogit 4, but I would like to make a model with restrictions to define the probabilistic decisión rules for each class. I know that Nlogit 4 doesn´t work with this kind of model, So I try to do this model with a student license, but this license work with 1500 register, and my complete data set have 2628 register.

I ran a test of a random latent class model with 1500 register in Nlogit 6 with my student license, and I have some problems; in all cases, the coefficient is not significant and only works with three classes. Now, I am unsure if buy the license Nlogit 6 single user is suiotable, I have doubt. Whether I can do the analysis correctly with my complete data set. Is there any way to know if, with my 2628 register, I can do this analysis and run a random latent class with restrictions of decision rules like attribute attendance?   But the Price of licese is high to my I want to be sure that I can do the analysis than I need for my thesis.

I work with 146 people, and everyone answers six choice situations. Every choice situation had three alternatives with four attributes.
