Dear all,
Two items of interest.
Tam
1. A message from Samuel Wessels (Macquarie): Greek and Latin Research Group.
The third and final meeting of GLRG (Greek and Latin Research Group) for this session will take place on 26th May at 5:00 pm in 01 Central Courtyard, 111.
The session will be held in a hybrid format. Please join via the following Zoom link: https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/iMpKC1WLPxck5MvrQSLfMUVMhWf?domain=macquarie.zoom.us<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/iMpKC1WLPxck5MvrQSLfMUVMhWf?domain=macquarie.zoom.us>
Trevor Evans will be talking to us about his experience with James Adams, an Australian scholar who made extraordinary contributions to the study of Latin. The title of the talk is 'Perfect Frankness: A Personal Reminiscence of the Australian Latinist J.N. Adams CBE FBA (1943–2021).’
I hope to see you there in person or online.
Kind regards,
Samuel H. Wessels
1. A message from John Lee: A short course reading Greek ostraca
This will be offered by Dr John Lee via zoom this year, following courses on Greek papyri in 2024, 2025, and a course on the Greek Psalms in 2025, all of which attracted participants from around the world. More details in the attached document.
