Research Scholarships
Postgraduate Scholarship in Civil Engineering
Funding is available for a postgraduate research scholarship to undertake research studies leading to an MPhil degree in The School of Civil Engineering. The project will investigate the multiphase flow in unsaturated porous media. Applicants should have a recent bachelor degree in geotechnical engineering (with an interest in the experimental and numerical solutions for multi-phase engineering problems). Open to domestic & international students. Scholarship is valued at $12,000 pa, up to 2 years. Please note that this scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.

Postgraduate Scholarship in In Silico Toxicology
A postgraduate scholarship is available for a recent Honours I graduate in Toxicology/Pharmacology to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Medicine.  The project is to develop in silico models for chemical carcinogenicity prediction using machine learning algorithms and experimental toxicological data. Applicants should be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens and have experience using machine learning algorithms as well as experience in using Weka, Python, and statistical programs such as SPSS and R. Scholarship is valued at $25,000 pa (tax exempt) for 1 year.

Winifred O'Neil University of Sydney Postgraduate Scholarship in Psychology.
Funding is available for a full-time postgraduate student in the School of Psychology. Preference given to students who are visually impaired or students with other disability (candidate without disability may be considered). $3000 pa, up 3 years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Oncology: Innovating the clinical trial design paradigm for evaluation of molecularly targeted therapies.
NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre is offering a full-time postgraduate scholarship in Oncology. Research program aims to examine the use of the current framework based on traditional randomised phase I-III clinical trial designs for assessing the effectiveness of new therapies in smaller molecularly defined populations, explore situations where randomized controlled trials are not necessary, and identify sound alternative strategies to evaluate the efficacy of novel targeted therapies in these molecularly defined populations. Applicants should be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. Scholarship is valued at $38,488 pa, up to 3 years.

Overseas Scholarships
Campbell Perry International Research Scholarship
This Scholarship is for a full time PhD in the School of Psychology (or, in exceptional circumstances, the History and Philosophy of Science Unit or the School of Philosophy). Scholarship funding provides up to $6,000 to support research-related international travel for research that will contribute to the development of psychological knowledge from a theoretical and/or empirical perspective.
