Postgraduate Oncology Research Unit Scholarship in Paediatric Cancer
Research

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available in the Oncology
Research Unit for candidates with a first class honours degree in
science to undertake research studies leading to a PhD; research in the
unit focuses on tumours of childhood and adolescence that have a poor
patient prognosis; applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian
permanent residents; $25,000pa (tax exempt); up to three years. 

Closing Date: August 31, 2009

 

Peter Cullen Postgraduate Scholarship

The NSW Government is calling for applications for the Peter Cullen
Postgraduate Scholarship for first year PhD students in the 2010
academic year; the aim of the scholarship is to improve the linkages
between aquatic science and water management in NSW; applicants must be
Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents; $20,000pa; up to
three years.

Australian Academy of Science and National Institute of Health Travel
Grant

The Australian Academy of Science invites expressions of interest from
junior scientists who are no more than 30 years of age to visit the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States of America in
2010 for 6 to 13 weeks; proposals in any health-related field of natural
science will be considered; applicants must be Australian citizens or
Australian permanent residents.
