RESEARCH:  Cell Membrane-Mediated Events in Cancer Invasion and
Metastasis, Alzheimer's Dementia Research

Research Scholarships

 

PhD Scholarship in Cell Membrane-Mediated Events in Cancer Invasion and
Metastasis

For a suitably qualified candidate with a good hons or higher degree in
science to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in cancer cell
biology; the project is to investigate novel migratory actin and
membrane raft structures in invading colon cancer and breast cancer
cells using siRNA knockdown, immunolocalization and high-resolution
imaging techniques; $20,007 pa; up to 3 years.

Phillip Jacoby Scholarship in Alzheimer's Dementia Research

Open to Australian or overseas graduates of outstanding academic merit,
for a PhD undertaking research into Alzheimer's dementia, with
preference given to students undertaking their research through the
Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease Laboratory; candidates must have
completed the equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree and be either
Australian citizens or permanent residents, or citizens of NZ; $20,007
pa.

Other Scholarships

 

Australia to United States Fellowships 

The Fellowships are intended to build on the existing strong social and
economic partnership between the United States and Australia; the
applicants' research/study must be in one of the following fields:
Business; Science; Technology; Medicine; Engineering; applicants
research/study must be at the graduate or postgraduate level and proof
of acceptance into a US educational institution is required; applicants
must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia;
US$25,000.
