RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS:  Natural History of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction,
Australian Osseointegration Society (NSW), Head and Neck Cancer.

 

PhD Scholarship - Natural History of Canine Cognitive Dysfunction
Project

An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Faculty of Veterinary
Science, University of Sydney and the School of Psychiatry, University
of New South Wales and The Neuropsychiatric Institute, Prince of Wales
Hospital towards the award of a PhD; the project will involve validation
of a clinical scale for diagnosing and assessing Canine Cognitive
Dysfunction using three approaches: cross sectional behavioural testing,
longitudinal change analysis, neuropathology on a sub-sample of dogs;
funding for this position is available for up to 3 years at the APA
level.

Australian Osseointegration Society (NSW) Postgraduate Student Research
Scholarship

One postgraduate scholarship of up to $5,000 pa is available; the
research project undertaken should relate to an aspect of Implant
Dentistry; both basic science and clinically oriented projects will be
eligible; the stipend will be paid to the Dean of the Faculty of
Dentistry and is to be used for the allocated project NOT for travel or
conference expenses.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Head and Neck Cancer

This scholarship will provide support for research leading to a PhD in
Head and Neck Cancer through the Central Clinical School, working on the
project "Human papillomavirus in squamous cell carcinoma of the
oropharynx: prognostic significance and interaction with radiation
therapy"; applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent
residents, or NZ citizens and must hold an appropriate degree at a
minimum of bachelor level with second class honours from a recognised
university; $24,000 pa; up to 1 year in the first instance, with the
possibility of renewals.
