Indigenous Health Research Postgraduate Scholarship (Ear health in
children)

Open to candidate with postgraduate qualification in paediatrics (FRACP
or equivalent) to undertake research studies comprising a PhD in otitis
media in urban indigenous children; applicant must have experience
managing otitis media in indigenous children and experience in research
in this area; must have a MPH (Hons) degree (or equivalent) and be an
Australian citizen; $30,014 pa.

Postgraduate Awards in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics

Open to candidates to undertake full-time studies in the School of
Physics at USYD leading to a PhD or MSc; candidates should have a good
Hons degree in Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science/Engineering;
research will be undertaken in the area of theoretical computational
condensed matter physics; 3 years for PhD, 2 years for MSc; $18,837 pa
in 05.

The Australian Pain Society (APS) & Australian Pain Relief Association
(APRA) PhD Scholarship

Open to applicants who have a 1st class Hons degree or equivalent and
the field of study must involve some aspect of the mechanism, diagnosis,
treatment or epidemiological features of acute or chronic (including
cancer) pain; $22,000 pa + up to a $1,000 pa travel grant is available
to attend the Australian Pain Society Annual Scientific Meeting if ASM
is out of home city; applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent
residents.
