Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on Control of Nodavirus
Infection in Barramundi Aquaculture
Open to candidates to undertake a full-time research project leading to
a PhD; the project will investigate the epidemiology of nodavirus
infection in barramundi using novel tests and will devise control
measures for the disease; applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree
in science, veterinary science or equivalent; must be Australian
citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ citizens; $24,650 pa; 3
years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Rheumatology
Open to candidate with a Hons degree in science to undertake research
studies leading to a PhD in the department of Rheumatology; the project
is to investigate the therapeutic application of peptides for the
treatment of arthritis; $18,837 pa; up to 3 years; applicants must be
Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents.

Scholarships
Up to 10 scholarships worldwide to Masters or Doctoral candidates in the
social sciences and humanities for short-research trips to Canada doing
research related to their thesis or dissertation in the field of
Canadian Studies; max C$3,500 for all expenses; an additional of C$1,500
may also be available to students who choose to undertake their award at
participating universities; 4-6 weeks.
