Postgraduate Scholarship in Medical Education

A scholarship to complete a PhD is available for a project involves the
study of medical ethics knowledge, attitudes and moral orientation in
general practitioners; $22,000 pa; 1 year; applicants must have
completed < 3 years full-time or equivalent of the PhD candidature; must
be able to show satisfactory progress and demonstrate the ability to
submit the PhD thesis within 1 full-time year from Semester 2, 2005;
applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Engineering Education

Open to candidate with a degree in education, science or engineering to
undertake research studies leading to a Masters degree; the project is
to investigate the integration of the new curriculum within the current
pedagogical framework, its evaluation for effectiveness in teaching than
its alignment with the desired learning outcomes; $21,000 pa; 2 years
for Masters with the possible extension of 1 year for PhD.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Advanced Modelling and Control in Chemical
Engineering

Open to candidate with a degree in chemical engineering to undertake
research studies leading to a Masters degree; the project is focussed on
advanced modelling of polymer product generation involving multiple
monomers; $19,000 pa; for the 1st  year of the degree programme with the
possible extension subject to funding availability.

ARC and Centre for Advanced Structural Engineering Scholarship

2 scholarships are available for research projects leading to a PhD:

Project 1 - Investigation of the stability of thin-walled sections
particularly hot-rolled and cold formed steel sections. 

Project 2 - Research into the behaviour and design of steel drive-in
rack structures. 

Applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree in civil engineering;
$27,837 pa; 3 years.

NSW Young Tall Poppy Science Awards

Open to young researchers working in all fields of science, including
physical, biomedical and applied sciences and biotechnology; nominees
must be permanent residents or citizens of Australia who are residents
of NSW and must be either postgraduate who are close to completing or
have completed a doctoral degree within the past 10 years.
