Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Stuttering Treatment
Open to candidate with an Hons degree in speech-language pathology to be
eligible to enrol in a PhD at USYD; students without an Hons degree may
be considered in some cases; the project involves a clinical trial of
different service delivery models of the Lidcombe Program with
preschoolers who stutter; $25,000 pa + possible funding in project
expenses and conference travel; up to 3 years.

Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) on the Ecological Impacts of
Seawalls
A scholarship is available to support a 3 year research project leading
to a PhD; the project is to explore how different types of seawalls
affect intertidal biodiversity; applicants should have an Hons 1 degree
in zoology, marine ecology or environmental science; must be Australian
citizens, Australian permanent residents or NZ citizens; $24,650 p.a. in
2005 (to be indexed in 2006).

ARC and Centre for Advanced Structural Engineering Scholarship
2 scholarships are available for research projects leading to a PhD:
Project 1 - Investigation of the stability of thin-walled sections
particularly hot-rolled and cold formed steel sections.
Project 2 - Research into the behaviour and design of steel drive-in
rack structures.
Applicants should have an Hons 1 or 2A degree in civil engineering;
$27,837 pa; 3 years.

Postgraduate Scholarships in Bio-organic Chemistry / Bionanotechnlogy
Up to 2 full-time postgraduate scholarships are available for candidates
with a good Hons degree or equivalent in science or engineering to
undertake research studies leading to a PhD; the project is to
investigate different ways of controlling the function of redox proteins
and co-factors (e.g., NAD) using light as an input; $19,231 pa; up to 3
years.
