PhD Tuition Fees Scholarship (Finance Discipline)

Open to an overseas student wishing to undertake research on estimation of 
the cost of capital, the successful applicant would study in the Finance 
Discipline in the School of Business and should have Hons 1 or a high 
distinction average; the scholarship covers tuition fees of approximately 
$21,120 pa; up to 3 years.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Wireless Telecommunications Networks
Open to candidate with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or 
Computer Sciences; the successful applicant will be required to be enrolled 
in a postgraduate research degree at the School of Electrical & Information 
Engineering in 20004; the project involves performance analysis and 
improvement of the wireless networks; $12,500 pa, 1 year.

Patricia Ritchie Postgraduate Psycho-Oncology Scholarship
Open to candidate with a good Hons degree in psychology to undertake 
research studies leading to a PhD in psycho-oncology.  The project is to 
investigate any aspect of the applications of psychology to the etiology, 
diagnosis and treatment of cancer and will be conducted at the Mater 
Hospital, North Sydney; $23,886 pa; up to 3 years; applicants must be 
citizens or permanent residents of Australia*.
*This requirement may not be applicable; but please note that this 
scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international students.

Turkish Language and Culture Summer Course
Available to university or higher education institution graduates who would 
like to attend the Turkish Language and Culture Summer Courses; 2 months 
commencing 1/7/04; no registration fee or tuition fee, free accommodation 
depending on the availability of the dormitories + a monthly allowance of 
150 million Turkish Lira; return airfares to Turkey will be met by the 
scholars or their governments.

Australia-Israel Scientific Exchange Foundation (AISEF) Postgraduate Fellowship
Available to student enrolled in a postgraduate research degree in an 
Australian Uni to work in a research laboratory in Israel; the research 
activity must be part of, or contribute to, the Australian postgraduate 
degree for which they are studying but must be completed in 2005; cover 
economy airfare, a max. of A$5,000 living and accommodation costs for 6 
months; grants will be paid directly to the student’s Australian institute; 
applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
