Postgraduate Scholarship in Virology
Open to candidate with a Hons 1 or 2A degree or equivalent in biomedical 
science to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in virology; the 
project is to investigate latency and pathogenesis of human 
cytomegalovirus; $22,984 pa; up to 3 years; successful applicant already 
holding an APA or similar scholarship will receive top-up to the above 
amount; applicants should be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Information Technologies
Open to candidate with a good Hons degree or equivalent in science or 
engineering to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in IT; the 
project is to investigate methods for maintaining quality of service levels 
and application behaviour when mobile devices roam in-between different 
access networks; $18.484 pa; up to 3 years, applicants must be citizens or 
permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Research Scholarship on Functional Anatomy of Brainstem 
Neurons that Control the Circulation
Available to a full-time PhD candidate to undertake research project to 
explore the extent of phosphorylation of proteins in neurons that are 
involved in signal transduction pathways; applicants should have an Hons 1 
or 2A degree in physiology; $15,000 pa in 2004; 1 year with a possible 
extension of 6 months; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents 
of Australia.
