The Pacific Regional Seminary, Fiji, seeks the assistance of a suitably
qualified lecturer in philosophy to contribute to the formation of Catholic
seminarians within a structured academic program comprising eleven courses
delivered annually, commencing in 2027. The program is ordinarily taught by
two lecturers in philosophy. In the coming year, only one philosophy
lecturer will be available to undertake these courses. Accordingly, an
additional lecturer is required to ensure the full, effective, and sustained
delivery of the curriculum.

The Seminary would welcome expressions of availability from a candidate with
a strong academic background in philosophy, preferably at the postgraduate
level, and with demonstrated experience in teaching, ideally within a
seminary or ecclesiastical context. Retired academics who remain willing and
able to contribute for a term at the Pacific Regional Seminary are also
warmly encouraged to consider this opportunity. The capacity to engage
seminarians in rigorous philosophical inquiry, to integrate philosophical
reflection with theological formation, and to contribute meaningfully to
their intellectual and spiritual development is essential.

The role entails responsibility for teaching a selection of the philosophy
courses, close collaboration with the existing lecturer, and active
participation in maintaining the continuity, coherence, and academic
integrity of the overall program.

Accommodation will be provided, and remuneration is negotiable in accordance
with qualifications and experience. While a commitment of up to three years
is preferred to ensure continuity and stability within the program,
applications are also welcome from those able to commit initially for one
year (2027), including retired academics willing to serve for a term, with
the possibility of extension to be mutually discerned thereafter.

We would be grateful for your kind consideration of this request and would
welcome any expressions of interest.
